Ernie Miller Park
Pictures
Ernie Miller has a great set of dynamic trails, but the most exciting part of our visit was our visit at the Ernie Miller Nature Center. We saw three different owls, a hawk, snakes, turtles, and fish. The nature center also has a cozy bird watching room and large fish tank. We really enjoyed learning about the owls from the friendly and knowledgable staff on site. Click HERE for more.

History:
Ernie Miller was named the first "Mr. Olathe" by the Chamber of Commerce in 1965.In 1972 Ernie Miller Park was sold to the county.http://www.olatheks.org/FactsHistDemo/History
Ernest “Ernie” Miller wrote a newspaper column, “Dresser Drawer,” that became a community favorite. But he was more than a columnist. Miller was the editor of the Olathe Mirror from 1939 to 1952. His position as a community journalist influenced public opinion, but also chronicled the community, its people and history. His love of Olathe was obvious through his writing and community participation.
