Location

To get to the trailhead go to Oldham Road & Oakwood Road. A big sign will read "Camp Lake of the Woods". Park on the gravel on the side of the road. Walk up the road and through the gate.

Trail Map

Woodchuck Run and Rancho D 'Lux Trails will be on your left. Eventually we hiked up towards the camp and got on the Lakewood Trail. This is a very nice trail system, my only complaint is the road noise, but this is a busy park with a lot to do so of course it will be busy especially on a Saturday or Sunday. My favorite part of this trail was the tall grass fields. Walking through this part of the trail felt like walking through clouds. Absolute heaven. We think there are endangered plants that are being preserved here as they are surrounded with fencing, we aren't sure what they are though. Looked like bushes to us. Obviously we are not the experts.
